meranao is still preferred to be the main language here. though english, tagalog and cebuano (bisaya) still acceptable. one reason i recommend the use of meranao is so we could learn it through writing. we can speak it but the problem is how can we write it? its hard but a worthwhile learning. na meranao tano mga pagariya aken? mya paynal! hehe. |

i am a pure-blood maranao.
i am born and raised in marawi city for 19 years.
i think im fluent in maranao.
but there are still a lot of maranao words i don't understand,
especially ancient maranao words.
but do i really need to be good in writing maranao too?
isn't speaking maranao enough?
i think i would prefer to practice writing in english than in maranao.
let's face it, in this world..those who are good in speaking and writing
english are a step higher to those who are not.
but right now, im practicing my maranao writing skills in mIRC..
hehehe!!
