Page 8 of 15 I just want to tell you how absurd and illogical the police officer. He told us that there was a buy bust operation and hot pursuit. Well, if buy bust, I told him, who bought the drugs? Where is the marked money? Was the buying took place outside the house? All he can say, for the meantime, facts are held confidential. The moment they are ready with the documents they will just furnish me copies. What really happened? There was a knock on the door when the boy opened it came the some policemen Jen ( the girl’s name) at that time was attending to the needs of the babies. The police officers were looking for the house owner and finding none except Jen, the two babies and the 14 year-old boy, hence, all of them were brought to the station. Yes, including the two babies. Poor baby girl she was carried to the police station without panty not even a diaper! There in the police station the two babies were crying and desperately cannot understand why their Nanny was place inside the jail. So? In the buy bust and hot pursuit operations, the policemen came back to the station with the Nanny- Jen, the 14 year old boy and two babies! I wondered where were the evidences. The fact clearly shows that the moment they arrested Jen she was doing her function as Nanny attending to the babies and the fact that along with her the police brought the babies. Obviously, the police officers also committed grave mistake in exposing the babies to danger and traumatic experience. Well, they said they released the babies at around 3:00 AM to the Aunt who followed them in the station. What a cold night for the babies! Can you imagine? The babies at dawn with no sleep, starving for milk and helplessly crying became part of the evidences recovered by the police officers in their buy bust and hot pursuit operation?. Obviously, Jen at that time was not selling shabuh but doing her function as Nanny evidently up to the police station she had with her the babies. Selling shabu during a buy bust operation and attending to the needs of the babies are two different things; the police officers should have noted that! Based on the testimonies of Jen and her Auntie, Jen had just arrived here in Manila last December 22 and is hoping to work abroad. Since she has no passport yet, she decided to work. Through the recommendation of one of their neighbor she decided to work as Nanny of the two babies, the 2 year-old and 1 year old babies. She had worked only for 4 days where the police officers found her inside the house attending to the babies. We also showed to the police Jen’s plane ticket reflecting the date of her arrival here in Manila last December 22. This is to show that the allegation of conspiracy with some drug pushers inside the compound is not possible because Jen stayed in the employer’s house only for 4 days. Despite the facts I presented, the police officer took a hard stand. The suspects will be brought for inquest anytime of that day, he told me. Meanwhile, Atty. Cheky Arumpac arrived and took time talking to the police officers. Atty Arumpac argued intelligently and she was so decisive in fact telling the police officer of possibility of charging him administrative case. But still the same, he wants us to go to court. But we knew, the moment, a case will be formally filed; Jen will end up in Camp Karingal adding the congestion and line of innocent Muslim women. |
